Rekha Rodwittiya

Rekha Rodwittiya is an artist of international acclaim. To the artist, her works and her life are closely interwoven; and her paintings succinctly express the same, be it related to social inequalities, issues of identity, gender-politics or feminist explorations. She also engages in teaching, through alternative non-institutional methods, and has been a guest faculty at art colleges globally; further she lectures on various subjects related to contemporary Indian art in India and abroad. Rodwittiya is also a curator. Her recent solo, titled, Songs from the Blood of the Weary, 2018, was held at Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation, CSMVS, Mumbai. The artist lives and works in Baroda, India.
